Topic: hotels for the NO race?

seems like the local places are 100+ a night.  Any good lead for where to stay?  I am thinking of just getting a place in baton Rouge and driving back and forth.

Re: hotels for the NO race?

None of the hotels were near the track.

No Problem has RV spaces you can rent for the weekend.  So if you rent some kind of camper/rv, you can comfortably stay track side.

Those of use that stayed at the track enjoyed the event more then the guys staying at hotels.

Restaurants are kinda limited too.

Stay at the track - the Cajuns will show you how paddock parties are done.

Re: hotels for the NO race?

yup.  Camping is the only way to do No Problem.

Re: hotels for the NO race?

The closest hotel is about 10 miles away on LA 70 at LA 18 by the Mississippi. There is a Best Western and a Comfort Inn. And they are rather new. Of course the track is better, might be kinda loud till midnight or so. I will try to contain them after then. If you want to try Burbon Street it is about 1:20 from the track.

Re: hotels for the NO race?

We are renting an RV like last year. There's nothing better than waking up at the track, you can have your breakfast without rushing and all that jazz. The dragracing goes til midnight, but it's free to watch, so grab a brew and relax.

Re: hotels for the NO race?

I guaran-damn-TEE you that you will have a good time camping at No Problem. Just bring tents, a barbecue, and 10,000 cases of beer.

Re: hotels for the NO race?

And this time we're gonna drag race the damn rental cars, no matter what Jay says.

What could possibly go wrong? You guys do buy the rental insurance right?

Re: hotels for the NO race?

Last year was the best when we drag raced Lemons vs. babe rally cars.  Yeah, we kicked their asses

Re: hotels for the NO race?

I thought the scooter races and burns outs were pretty entertaining too.

Lemons cars were mostly running in the 17-20 second range... not like those slow-ass BABE cars.

Re: hotels for the NO race?

I got the Best Western to come down to $80/night.  Its $88 w/tax.  They also have roll aways they can add for $10/night.  That was about the cheapest I found..
