Have you seen this car? Black ‘84 Porsche 944, #944

My teammate can’t help bringing home basket case project cars for racing purposes. Newest subject: see above.

This was on Phoenix CL sold by some teenage rednecks who hooned it around the desert until the engine blew. They never raced it, they bought it off CL a few years back. Cage is well done, faded residue of Lemons stickers is visible, This was at least built for our series, if not raced in it. Having been around Inde, Buttonwillow, Sonoma, and Thunderhill for more than a decade, I think I’d remember this car. I don’t. It’s a straight, unmangled black 944 with white “944” racing numbers. Anyone in some other region recall seeing it on track?
