Topic: Selling a Caged Miata with Fuel Cell, RaceTech Seat, $1500 (Socal)

2021 Race winning car, less engine, trans, driveshaft and some electronics.  Raced in NASA, LuckyDog and Lemons Races..  With the Turbo Ecotec it was one of the fastest cars on a given weekend.. 

Cage has a Pagel approved booster on drivers side to allow long torso drivers (I think of them as special people) to fit in a miata.

Car was setup to run a turbo ecotec, you can drop back in a miata engine, ecotec or something else fun.   Add a engine/trans and go racing !

Racetech Seat
Belts are probably expired now
Professionally built cage
24 Gallon ATL Cell with trapdoor system
Dual Fuel Pumps, Dual Filters, One way check valves
Lowered larger battery box
Removable Steering Wheel
Racing Gauges
Wilwood Brake Master, Brake Bias System
Miata Sport front brakes, Hawk DTC 60 Pads
Spec Miata Bilstien/Eibach suspension
Alloy Radiator with Fans
Stock miata rear end
It will come with 4 wheels,  not great condition

What's Not included
- Radio, AIM, Race Capture
- Clutch Master Cylinder
- Engine, Trans, DriveShaft
- Cool Suit System
- Oil Breather
- Rear Wing
- Light Bars

Can also include other spares with pickup for Free, yes Free... we have lots of spare suspension items, if you want to put a miata engine in it, a trans, driveshaft, etc, etc.  Think I have brand new brake components to throw in too.. 

It's a little rough around the edges, Car's been raced, I think I can throw in a couple of fenders if you want to clean the body up.

This is a DEAL.. think about the replacement cost
Cage = 3K
Fuel Cell = 2K
Seat = $1500
Gauges, etc, etc..   oh + the car.

If the buyer commits to this engine package, I will drop the price $250 and throw in janky wing for the back.

the car is a bit legendary ...
i have heard tales of the ecotec miata all the way over here on the east coast

As discretely and non-chalantly as I could, I begged him to sell me the heap.  I even have an awesome theme picked out for it. 

I haven't heard from him, so I presume he and it are long gone.  Probably with some sucker's $1500.  If it's gone, that's probably for the better of all our drooling souls.

Question for the philosophers: Is a caged Miata more or less dangerous than a free range Miata?
