Topic: 1987 Pontiac Fiero - $1500obro - Wells, Maine

For sale is a 1987 Pontiac Fiero race car. Was bought in 2017 and the goal was to make it worthy of racing in the 24hrs of Lemons race series but, alas, life priorities have changed and now would like to get it out of the shop.

V6 with Getrag 5 speed transmission. Fully adjustable suspension, shocks, and wilwood brakes. New collapsible steering column and road racing Kirkey seat.

To get this car ready to race the list is:
- Finish wiring gauges (have all digital gauges and wiring diagram, was in process of building the new dash, everything is labeled. This was the last thing I was working on before putting this project on the back burner)
- Finish roll cage (cage is nearly complete only the door bars are not in for access reasons, door bars are cut and bent, just not welded in place. Vertical door bars between horizontals are not cut but extra material will come with the car to make these)
- Needs a safety rated fuel cell, fuel cell that came with the car will not meet spec. Could revert back to OEM (do not have OEM tank)
- Complete cooling system and time engine, have new radiator just need to hook up and hang the lines from front to back. These were complete and engine run, just taken down for access)
- Install safety systems (fire and restraints, these systems have expiration dates, was waiting until we were confident we were ready to race)
- Figure out rear window design / material. Cage down bars go through the old window.

The car comes with a bunch of spare parts, including spare engine and sub frame (plane was for easy track day swap out), two sets of tires and boxes of parts and consumables like filters, etc.

Car is located in Wells, Maine.  Has an associated CL ad in Maine CL where pictures can be seen.
