I changed the oil when I pulled the engine and there was nothing alarming at that time. So, this is something I introduced. Now if that's cutting, welding and grinding in general or the oil cooler, idk.
But

I just hope it's all upstream of the filter.

Today I've been cutting vinyl all damn day. Since 0700 I've been doing layout,cutting, transfer sheets and still don't have a single sticker on the car. And it's 1645 local time. My buddy is bringing the truck and trailer at 1730 and he and my wife are gonna go drive. So by the time I'm ready to install the livery, the car wont even be here.

Been putting stickers on all day. And we still have more to go. Also, still have to go through spares, fluids, gear and pack the trailer. Long night ahead!

Hopefully be on the road by 10 and at High Plains by noonish. Going to have to fill up the me fuel drums on the way out.

Sneak peek.

I found pieces of rod bearing in my oil before a race. It lasted the whole race and still had good oil pressure at the end of it. Granted, that was a very under stressed Fiat 1500 making about 70hp, not a boosted Subaru, so YMMV.

But, take this as a vote of confidence, or something.

So, it's 6/17 the Monday after race weekend. I just got the trailer unpacked, unloaded and everything spread across the garage/driveway.

Let's go back in time, to where I left off, to Thursday last week.

My brother and I were up till midnight applying the livery Thursday. Way more to it than printing stickers! Layout was a pain. Making sure they were level and in the same place side to side. My hat's of to wrap guys.

There was a lot of thought put into the livery. Like... What's the most iconic Subaru livery of all time? How do we spin that to Lemons? How the heck are going to do that? You know, the usual.

Here's what my brother and I came up with. My brother did all the design work. I did the Cricut thing and together it came out looking like this.

All the swoops were done freehand with knifeless tape, which works on the principles of magic and voodoo. After a lot of measuring and messed up used tape were here.

Oh, big deal, you did the Subaru WRC graphics? Anyone can copy that. They're even companies that produce that vinyl.

So, what's the Lemons twist you ask?? Lol, see what I did there? Lemon twist???

Anyway...I have a terribly dry sense of humor. But I have always prided myself on the little details, very discreet little nuances. The things people glance over. When people do a double take and say "WTH?". That's what I love, the subtly of it all.

Usually there is a STI (Subaru Tecnica International) sticker in the rear. But since the car is only a WRX my brother came up with this. The STI, AWD and WRX fonts all mixed together.

STI = It's a WRX

Motul = No tools

Gates = Farts

A lot of these pics are after the race. That's why they are dirty and grimy. I was so busy trying to get the car ready, that I didn't have time to take pics.

I did have these printed. The rallye placard and the number boards. Because they're multi colored. I had a vinyl shop print them for me. Everything else I printed on the Cricut.
