I had fooled around with a similar idea a few years ago.

lol.. Nice... Trick is to get a design that you can cut out in vinyl, but idea is good... actually, from the normal fish, you could use the "down" part of the tail as the exhaust... Maybe I'll see if I can whip something up like that too wink

I'm sure these would be difficult to convincingly do in a one-color medium like vinyl, but steam or an oil puddle might be a nice touch.  A possibly easier enhancement would be to "dent" the nose or tail.

Re: Official Lemons Jesus fish...

Sacrilege aside,

If that's an issue, then I won't be posting the link to the "Six Pack of Prayer" video  link in the "Best Beer for Bribes" thread. wink

Re: Official Lemons Jesus fish...

Ok, so I managed to get 20 cut out, then the damn plotter puked. then I nearly chopped my finger off on the paper cutter. Worst Lemons injury indeed! There's $1k down the trash after only 2 jobs... argg. Anyway, here's one installed on my Lemon - they are 41/2" long. Drop by the Lebowski Neon pit if you want one of the unintentionally limited edition. If you are real nice or bring me a cold beverage, I'll give you one, and if not, spiff me a couple bucks to cover the materials if not the effort...

We were the black celica gt.  I remember when you got punted out, too bad.  The celica is now painted a badly done recreation of the group A rally car.  See you there.

Re: Official Lemons Jesus fish...

I'd make one change to the design, if it were me... change the tail of the fish to the stem/leaf of a lemon... but again if it were me, and you're not me, and you had all the initiative to make it happen.  Design input worth what you paid for it

Lol..... actually that's a good idea - I'll mock something up. I got a couple other good ideas from folks too. If I can spend a design day and do up a bunch of layouts it might be fun, but I've got lots of other stuff needs doing too. Maybe if I sold a few it would be worth doing up a couple batches of different designs (after I fix my sign cutter that is!).

Thanks for the idea....

If you get your cutter fixed and have a supply of decals, I'm in for a few at GMan.

Love it! If you get around to making up some for those of us on the west coast I'd happily pay to get a couple.

Re: Official Lemons Jesus fish...

I have a source for the vinyl cutting, if you want - I showed them your pic and they said no problem, especially if you have the vector art. Don't know a price yet, let me know if you're interested.

Thanks.. I just need to fix my plotter.. I have a call into support, so hopefully just a week or so maybe.

I managed to cut out 20 before my stuff broke. I can ask Jay if its something he might want to do and/or include at his events.. I imagine he's got a lot more resources than I do for this sort of thing. Regardless, if folks want them, they could send me a couple bucks and a SASE and I can mail them out. No biggie. I will do up some other designs too.

I'll bring the ones I finished to Gingerman this weekend. Basically just peel off the backing, stick it down, then us a credit card on the top release sheet to stick it in place, then finally pull the front release sheet....

Cheers..

Yes but that doesn't help us a bit at Thunderhill, we won't have our Lemons fish to protect us while we are driving. What would Jesus do? What would he do?

No, the bigger question... what would Jesus DRIVE? Why, an LS400 of course!

If you want me to save one for you, send me $3 in a SASE and I'll send ya one, or $5 for two. Tech support emailed me and I should have the plotter running in a week or so anyway, but I can save a couple from the existing run. I'll PM you my address, just let me know if you want one. If nobody does, I'll still bring to Gingerman.

He'd get out there anyways! It's all about having a little faith.

Oooh -- I'd like one.

"This is the scene where I get shot," Bronson said. "I have these little squibs that explode to make it look like bullets are hitting." "Fascinating," said Bergman. "I never knew how they did that." "You mean," asked Bronson, "you don't use machine guns in your movies?"
