In order up my tetanus collection, I picked this up, 72 Mercedes 300 SEL 4.5 (sadly no 6.3). It is all you hoped it could be: rusty, running (kind of), hole in the gas tank you can drive a Buick through (or a forklift as the case was), air bag suspension, auto....what could possibility go wrong?
Already sourced a 4-speed manual for the swap from a 450 SL. Just need to start piecing it together. Be looking for this as some fall Gulf region race.
