Do you want to see them raced or given to the judges as bribes?
sounds like it may be a little too rare to end up a Lemons ride but its an awesome car I would love to have one
Bricklin SV-1!
I see one of these at local Cars & Coffee events.....but I don't think its anywhere near a Lemons budget
Here's one in NorCal with a super-optimistic asking price of $2000. The seller works at Pick-N-Pull and bought it there, which means he's probably only into it for the scrap value (i.e., a couple hundred bucks). Give him a week or two to get sick of having that pile sitting in his driveway, then offer him $700. Sell the lights and other crap to some Bricklin freak and you've got a great Lemons car.
We also want a Bitter.

I like it.......tempting......
However I just don't see a conversation with the wife even mentioning building ANOTHER race car ending well..... Let me glare into my crystal ball..... I foresee a "are you F"king crazy followed by a swift groin kick"....

I think that's been up on Craigslist for awhile. I think I remember seeing it a couple months back
The Longchamp might be a good subsitute for a Ferrari in a theme that screams out to be done... In fact it probably has been done.
Daft Junk?

Today I Learned: There is such a thing as a "Bricklin freak"
We also want a Bitter.
I had one and sold it in the 90's Cool car but that GM straight 6 did it no speed justice. Kicking myself for selling it though!

I just picked up a 74 Jensen Healey and I'm toying with the idea of making it a lemon, but the rareness and racing pedigree make me think it's not a great idea. Guess we'll see how things pan out with our golf at Capitol Offense...
Anybody find any Triumph Stags out there? A brit flexi-flyer chassis with a single roller timing chain V-8. If you can keep the chain from coming apart they are actually pretty quick cars.

oh oh... my first summer job working at an auto repair shop I got the job of working on a V8 Triump Stag... cause nobody else wanted to work on it. I kinda liked it. The V8 motor always sound like a boat motor to me... in a deep burbley kinda way.
I'm disappointed that there haven't been more Peugeot teams. Surely if our POS 505 can finish three races it can't be that hard to do. It's not like it's hard to find one cheap either, we recently picked up a "parts car" for $500 (brought along so we'll always have at least one spare of any part that breaks at the race) that runs and drives great and is far nicer inside and out than our race car ever was. Come on, skip that boring E30 and try something really different!

Here's a 403 for Lemons $$. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/1712250582.html
I am trying to convince my spouse that it is critical for me to bring a Twingo back from Germany. He is not so into this.
I'd like to do a mid-engined VW pickup... BTW, the Pugeot 505 used to be a dominant SCCA showroom stock racer, so unless its a really old one, it'd hardly be "Lemon"....

Marry me and you wouldn't have that problem.
Looking at 300Euro Twingos right now. The possibilities are ..endless......... LOL imagine explaining to your employer that yes, you know damn well the car is illegal in the US for road purposes and you're not importing it for that reason. You're importing it as a racecar.
That will go over well...........
I'd rather get a Renault-Alpine A110.
We also want a Bitter.
That would be hilarious, but hell, I think I've only seen ONE Bitter in the last decade. Doctawife spotted it in Baltimore during a trip and pointed it out to me. I think she was amused by the blank look on my face while the gears slowly turned in my head until I remembered what the fsck it was.

1984 Renault Alliance. It looks very K-car-ish. Was this a joint venture with Chrysler?
Nevermind - joint venture with AMC! Even better!
