Topic: 1.50" x 0.095" cage tubing?

We've got a 2200 lb lemon and a bunch of 1.50" x 0.095" DOM tubing. I noticed that unlike other sanctioning bodies, Lemons doesn't allow the use of 0.095" wall thickness tubing in lighter racecars. Before we dump more money into our heap and buy new tubing I just wanted to make sure the exclusion of small wall thickness tubing was purposeful and not an oversight?

Thanks for any help,
Team Kamikaze

Re: 1.50" x 0.095" cage tubing?

1.50 x .095 is not allowed for required bars (main hoop, rear legs, front hoop, halo, front down bars, diagonal, harness bar, 2 door bars, etc.) in cars of any weight.  I imagine they wanted to keep the rules as simple as possible so they have only two weight ranges for cage tubing, above or below 3000lbs as raced.

You can use that tubing for gussets and non-required bars if you wish.

1.5 X .120 is minimum, you can use 1.75 X .095 as well
