Topic: Survived our first race in DC, now if I could just get out of town!

Thanks to everyone who made our first racing expierence a fantastic one. I hope the #30 Overengineer'd car wasn't too badly in your way, we were learning and trying not to f' other teams at the same time. Unfortunately we only made it about 15 miles from the track and a ended up stranded with a cooked front wheel bearing and frozen caliper on our hauler. Sooo we are shacked up at Watermellon Park campground hoping the dodge dealer can get us on our way to NH tomorrow.

I feel your pain, About 45 min. into our trip back home a motorcycle plowed into our pop-up camper. Got home at 1:30. (it should be a 3 hour trip)

Great graphics on your bimmer.  Much easier to read in the paddock.good luck getting home.

Hopefully, the cyclist and pop up are OK?

Ouch. I thought being caught in the snarl of nasa haulers and "racecars" (If it has a license plate, an interior and a fart can, IT'S NOT ONE and all your arguments to the contrary are invalid) was bad enough - but that SUCKS.

We got out of the local Dodge dealer this afternoon with a new hub assembly installed at 1:30. Then we blew out a camper tire in Carslile after hitting some road construction debris. We just got back on the road so it looks like we won't be home till tomorrow am. We still are buzzing from all the fun we had so it's all good :-).

Hey, at least your race car didn't fall off the trailer on the freeway, as happened to a certain 240SX team at Altamont.

Oh crap, I can't even imagine losing the car on the highway.  We ended up getting home 2:30 am this morning in one piece.  Thanks for the compliments on the graphics, we had a ton of fun working up that theme.  We really had a ton of fun with all parts of the event.  Now we just need to get that bimmer low and stiff for Stafford.

See, isn't it lucky that these crap cans have no identifying information on them? So officer, you say that a car fell off our trailer way back there? No way, never could have happened. We had a BOAT on there that we've misplaced!
