Topic: Nascar Themes with Slicks?

Soooo...

I watched this movie last night, and I've never seen this theme done before and it is amazing.

Only problem is I can find the cars on CL but I can't imaging how to pull it off without running some 15'' Roundyround tires....

Can there be a clause in the rulebook for awesomely executed nascar themes with stock cars to be allowed to run some hard compound roundy round tire?

Nevermind, because thats exactly what I wanted to do sad

Did it look like 100% legit?  I was gonna find an old t-bird, flare it a good bit and run some white steel wheels with tall sidewall hard compound slicks or dirt tires so it wouldn't be too big of a deal if it was okay.

Where are pics of this?  Watched Stroker Ace last night and never have seen Clyde's car out there

I built it.  I was going to paint the wheels white, but they were already yellow and it worked on the car.

Slicks won't fly.  You could put them on for judging if you want, just to look cool.

And you could stencil all your tire sidewalls with "Goodyear" or whatever your brand of choice is to make them sort of look like slicks.

I'm sure you could find some high-profile tire out there that looks close enough.  Painting the sidewalls with stencils would definitely help out there.

At 100mph, they all look the same anyway... big_smile

Anyone konw any tall profile 15's with a good compound?

BFG G-force Sports work really well, they're cheap too.
