Topic: Diagnal cage bar

I read that there were new restrictions and rules... this passed in 2008 but this is now 2010, we have a diagnal bar, but it doesnt run the lenght that some pictures showed, just curious if we cut the support bar, and the semi diagnal and put in a full one with a support bar, would it be allowed?

Re: Diagnal cage bar

not likely

Re: Diagnal cage bar

Since you have the horizontal bar & your semi-diagonal is out of the way, all you really have to do is add another true diagonal.  Looks like the flat stock behind the seat will have to be removed, but there is enough roll hoop exposed to tie the diagonal in between the semi-diagonal & the driver's side upper stringer.  You can remove the semi-diagonal if you're feeling ambitious...

Looks like you need the rear support bars for the roll hoop as well

What he said.

Leave the existing diagonal.

Slice through the harness bar and make your new diagonal full length from way up in the top corner all the way down to the bottom on the other side.

Add some back stays between the main hoop and your rear shock towers.

Good to go.
