Topic: Door Bars

Although it is not specified, does tech require verticals between the NASCAR bars?

Yee-Haw 2010 "Most Heroic Fix" & "I Got Screwed" -2 trophies for 1 lap, but I took checkered on my lap.
Gator-O-Rama 2012 "Organizers Choice" -2 laps 1 trophy, but i still finished ahead of an E30
Yee-Haw 2013 No trophy -26 laps, I think I see a pattern here
Gator-O-Rama 2014 "Waiting for the Last Minute Call from the Governor Award" -who's counting? John

Sent an email to John, but since he doesn't do all the tech, I want to know if anyone ever had problems with it.

You Are better off putting one or two in there , they would stay together better for more protection

I will put them in eventually, but superfluous bars are low on my "to do before tech" list.
Since they are optional, they will be the last thing in the build.

Nothing to do with tech but by tying the doorbars together, you increase the strength of the bars by orders of magnitude.  This increases you chance of survival by an even higher order of magnitude.  It's something you REALLY want to do no matter what is legal.

why not wait till you put in the racing seat and then the water you need to put out the fire wont be on the list. If it has to do with saftey, just think your child would be in the seat. That may be one way of thinking of it. I'm just saying.

Verticals between the door bars are not required, but as noted above, are a good idea.
