Topic: Db. LIMIT
I looked at the requirements for decibel limit for Lemons and it says 92db max that seems awful low. I looked at the track requirements at Kershaw and they say 105db is it really only 92?

You will get called off the track for being "too loud." It is enforced differently at different tracks.
That said - I won't drive a loud car anymore. It's just too hard to hear my radio, it's fatiguing to listen that drone, and you can't hear the other cars around you. It's not worth the 5(?) hp that you gain from a straight exhaust.
Being stuck in a car that's insanely loud for hours on end isn't a place you want to be. We ran good mufflers because ours were rusted all to hell and I'm extremely glad we did. It's far more tolerable to drive that way.
well I actually had a new exhaust run from the header back and one of those (albeit used ) crap can mufflers on the back of it but it sounds really loud. So I may have to find another muffler or add a resonator to it. I just saw on the rules where it said that this setup usually was enough.
1) hi-flow cats don't muffle worth a darn.
2) straight-through perfed resonator muffles enough to pass tech and be liveable.
3) if only our 2" resonator were 2-1/2" to match the rest of the pipe!
Getting busted for being too loud is pretty rare, but it does happen. Unless you've got a rotary or a big V8, a Cherry Bomb should be good enough.
