Great time everyone!  Skid Marks Racing Neon #56 once agan succombed to a mechanical failure, but we had a great time for the seven or so hours we got to run.  Special thanks to Legs #69 for offering up some of the parts that we might have needed to get the car back on the track on Sunday afternoon.  We'll find a way to get it back together for Autobahn.

See you guys then.

Sorry about the wrong hubs in those knuckles.  We'll have proper spares next time (one of our bearings has some slop in it now too).  We got bit too, I had spare 2nd gen Neon calipers, but they have a different banjo bolt than first gen, hence why we had to raid the Red Rocket team's caliper to finish Saturday.

Now I'm regretting not signing up for Autobahn, but this being our first race, we figured we'd just try to get through this one and wait until spring for the next race.  Our girlfriends and spouses probably appreciate it, since we spent much time over the past two months getting the car ready.

There were so many teams that we ran with (Booby Prize w/ the flux capactitor disgusied as a giraffe, Santa, legs, Hot Wheels,  the MR 2 w/ the pinup, and some more that I'm not thinking of).  it was great having so many evenly matched cars to battle with.

In only my second Lemons race, this is the part that changed the most and made it even more fun than summit point.  Our number 71 No Wha///mies car at summit point generally could either pass a car and pull away or get passed and fall back.  This time there were many cars that took smooth driving and hard work to pass, and multiple cars that could get by, but then stay near enough in sight that any slip up would lead to a pass back, sometimes lasting for laps at a time.  I know during my stints there were a couple cars with 7's on them that definitely made me earn it.

We had a great time, and actually limped home the last lap and a half after something broke in the front right.  It made taking the checkered flag even that much sweeter knowing how close we were to missing it.

Re: Gingerman Rocked! (Detroit Bull-Oil GP ThankYous)

Man, this was my first race and I am HOOKED!  I was literally dreaming about it last night :-)

I was in the "legs" neon and had some great battles; the thunderbird - Saturday, you and me were really battling it out, it was awesome!  #71 CRX, good times!  I felt so bad for you when you got black flagged between turns 5 & 6 when the red CRX spun.  777 car, he was a hard one to pass, but I did finally make it buy in turn three with a little yellow paint on the drivers side rear quarter panel.  I talked to the guys later and they are really cool, I hope to see you guys at the next one.  Monkey/Football integra, you and me shortly after the race started Sunday were battling lap after lap!  I think you helped me get some great lap times.

Thanks again for the good times, and I think I was kind of aggressive with the passes but I hope I didn't piss anyone off.  I look forward to seeing you guys again!

Thanks to all that lent a hand, a tool, or words of encouragement while repairing the VW Caddy.
we had a good time, but  am i still sore from all the wrenching. i think we found the problem....the spin cycle was out of adjustment. it was spinning too fast leaning out the engine ... smile

Special thanks to team ScirocketII. i just finished writing 1000 times on the truck -- " i will not go to any race without the triple square set". i think i was being punished from above for that...haha.

does the #37 RX7 guys visit here? i had a brief chat with one of their drivers just before leaving gingerman. We had some great side-by-side racing and I wanted to re-emphasize my thanks to them!

Everyone on the 82 rx7 had a great time. All of our guys had hour long battles with many of the cars. I hope to see many of you at autobahn.

*Cheers* Tim...glad that we could help! We all had a blast hanging out on Saturday night.  We had a little campfire going and enjoyed talking to everyone who stopped by to say hello!  And thanks again for not selling us your spare motor smile That would have been way too much work!
