Re: Now all we need is a Reatta: the Legend of Team Police Brutality!

I actually know where a decent Reatta is for only a little bit more than Lemons money.
However, I think a front-wheel drive GM is a bit too pedestrian for Jeff, though. Maybe with a bizarre motor swap...

I mock your Reatta. Allante or bust.

Phil, thanks again! Awesome job, as always. BTW, I've had ZERO success on my Fuego Turbo searches...

Your best choice for the IOE/Overall Win combo is, of course, the Lancia Scorpion!

It won't be this race, but I'd love to make Phil's dream come true...

Ditch the scorpion idea head out a day early with a welder, pipe bender and some tubing and build the cage on Thursday and finish the car on Frid- uh, make that Sunday noon and voila!

Dare I even mention the Chrysler TC By Maserati? I seldom bring it up, because sub-$1000 examples are difficult to find.

You know theres a guy right outside Glassboro who specializes in those things, usually has one or 2 sitting outside his shop that look like they were raided for parts, a deal could probably be struck wink

Blown head gasket and hasn't been started in 20 years.

I see absoluely no flaws in this plan. Do it.

I would LOVE to be able to buy that Fuego. I'm broke right now, though, so that's out. Maybe I can go by there after the race, if we get REALLY lucky, and pay him in nickels!

OTOH, a Rotareatta sounds like it could work.

It'd have to be a 3-rotor, or you'd really have to strip that thing down.

Are there any left?  My mom had one growing up and the dealer told us we had the only one they knew of that was still working.  The car was about three years old when they told us this, can't imagine there would be many left.

Re: Now all we need is a Reatta: the Legend of Team Police Brutality!

It was a one-year-only setup, 1981 I think. It was still in production the next year, but without the cylinder-disabling function.
