I guess there's one way to find out.

While I would LOVE to run the full course at CMP, I can see the logistical problems with doing so for this type of event.  If a car was disabled anywhere on the back half of the course ,it would take the wrecker a lot longer to get there and back.  On the short course they can cut right across the grass, but on the back portion it's totally wooded.

As long as there is no chicane, I will try not to complain.

This (below) is the config they used in 2008.  In 2009 they did not use the mickey mouse chicane (THANKFULLY) and I don't believe there were any complaints or problems with it.

Yeah, the chicane needs to remain a blurry vision in the past.  Although I was not lucky enough to experience said chicane, I would have hated it just as much if I had.  It has been said before, when the Lemons come to the south, the cars get more racey and drivers become more experienced.  We can handle whatever they dish out, as long as it does not involve a chicane.  Have I mentioned that I hate chicanes?

Thanks for the video; that traffic jam in front of the chicane looked like a nightmare.

hopefully it's not a tight one.  it's not that hard to make a flowing chicane that requires slowing /lifting but not stopping in traffic a la CMP '08.

Having studied the 2008 chicaned youtube vids extensively, I hope the chicane-free trend continues. There was no chicane and no problems at South Spring, or at Stafford this year.

Nice vid, Taj. Seemed like you guys were driving courteously and weren't pushing the car too hard, which is probably why you finished 13th, instead of breaking or sitting out on penalties. It was our first Lemons event, so we lost two hours in penalties. Lesson learned: drive clean, stay on track, avoid any contact possible, and you can finish near the top with a slower car, like you did in South Spring, and we did in Stafford.

We had ONE vote for our car to be crushed at CMP, but Jay said the team that did it wrote some very unflattering things on the ballot. We got a good laugh out of it...

So CMP is next..  Is every one ready,. ?
  I am really looking forwards to this. Seeing that the Porcubimmer did so well.  It looks like it takes about 2 races to get all the bugs worked out on a E30.

Ready.. Nope   but with some more brutal weekend thrashing sessions.   Our team is now convinced that Jay is evil and must enjoy the pain he inflicts on the masses.
