Here's Dave's nice Model T. The race car's body is a bit rougher.

Re: Model T

I really like the looks of a 1927Model T  hotrod..
That one has the right stance and look to it!
Let's claim it!:)=)

does anyone have any idea how many out of the 15M modelt Ts made are remaining? id say less than a millon.

OK but are we talking about original Ford car or fiberglas replicas?
If there are a million left.. how  many model A's are left?   since even a Model A can't go freeway speeds with 25% more power the use of a Model T is limited to those who  have
A
the space for one. (eliminates a extremely large percentage of people)
B
The Budget for one (getting to be a lot smaller list of people)
C
the ability to either a do the required repairs to keep it running or the budget to have those done)
D
Aren't interested on other collector cars more
E
want one..  and don't already have one..

So of 300 million Americans if there are 1 million who fit all of that criteria then   there is a demand for them..
Based on the prices they sell for I suspect that's not the case..

Re: Model T

im talking real steel originals stock not glass t buckets, and not ones on A frames like Dave's

Re: Model T

I know where there are some Dodge Model B cowls, but no frames. He's got Later Dodge or Chevy frames. Merge the two?

Kinda Near Lincoln, CA

Re: Model T

I may or may not have seen this "car" (term used VERY loosely) in person.... and its safe to say its 100% Lemons worthy!!!

Re: Model T

I *almost* saw it yesterday.
I heard it looks more like a sand rail than a Model T.

Re: Model T

Testing yesterday at Infineon were:

- a couple Pro Formula Mazda's
- Worldspeed's FS2.0 prototype formula car
- an ex-LeMans (yes, with an "A") Ferrari can-am era car
- a 2010 Porsche GT3-RS cup car that's likely to win the 25 Hours of Thunderhill
- The Model T GT

Guess which one drew the most attention?

God help us all.

L-O-freakin'-L. Lemons get more attention at SEMA than the uber-hundreds of thousands of dollar trailer queens. Lemons get more attention at race tracks than "real" race cars.

What a freaking awesome world to live in.

Last weekend I was at a campout with my 7-year old daughter and about 7 other dads and their daughters. I mentioned that I was/am taking a welding class on Sunday afternoons this semester and by their reactions (the dads, not the daughters), you would have thought that I'd casually mentioned that I knew how to turn lead into gold. The disconnect between manual labor and creating something tangible and most folks' everyday worklife is something fierce. Bear that in mind the next time you skin your knuckles and cuss out your Lemons jalopy for being the hunk of junk that it is smile We are blessed.

No pics- the team wants a dramatic unveiling at the race.

Re: Model T

I had to swear not to post the pics.

Actually, I have permission to post a teaser or two.
