I am not a Tech official but...

We did the same thing to meet CC standards in 2011.

They saw it at the Lemons Arse Freeze '11 at buttonwillow and said it would be ok for 2012.

I sent pics to Lemon's Tech John to ask about other things we need to upgrade (seat back brace, and protection around our fuel cell) and included one of our pull cable  asking if it was ok and got no complaints about it from him then either.

You need to be able to turn it both on and off from the drivers' seat, fully harnessed. Somewhere up there ^^^^ John says No to cable pulls to/for the driver...

Yeah I edited my post as It has seemed to cause confusion. The set up in the pic above was not correct and we moved the switch to the dash bar where the driver can turn it off and back on.

John made no mention of any changes to the extinguisher system in his 2014 rules preview.  So I would expect those rules to stay the same for this year.
