Re: When will someone do this?
You know most of the bodywork on that is so straight one could probably bend up a reasonable facimile on top of a caprice/crown vic/s10 chassis
Dunno how that would fly with the rules.
OTTER: "I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part."
BLUTO: "We're just the guys to do it."
Re: When will someone do this?
I've given up on trying to talk Eyesore into doing this. Perhaps the Cannonball Bandits?
Re: When will someone do this?
Isn't the OEM hood and fender rule getting in the way, though?
Re: When will someone do this?
The OEM hood & fender rule is so theres something actually there and not paper mache and chicken wire, no?
Im sure the hood and fenders used would be oem-ish out of a u pull it.
Re: When will someone do this?
Oh come on now - isn't it obvious?
just a wee job for Fish - replace the model T truck be with another cowl and seat. Repaint. PVC and foamcore to mock up the intake...
Re: When will someone do this?
Anybody notice how the intakes say it's a V10, but the exhaust says V8? I'd go with a V10 Dodge chassis if you can find one cheap enough.

That's how the real one was:
It was powered by a 289 Ford V8, but it had 10 Stromberg carbs on the intake manifold.

TEN Strombergs on a 289? Jeez, dude...

Does anybody else see the striking resemblance between Eddie Munster and Judge Johnny besides me?

Re: When will someone do this?
I've gotta say, the Model T GT is a better fit for this, but we'll consider it.
