Topic: Fuel

How do you guys transport gas for the race?  Do you haul drums to the track?  Or purchase it there?

We're driving from Portland to Sears Point, and I'm not up to date on the laws regarding drums strapped to our trailer.

Check fuel costs; we just bought our fuel at the race.  It was only around $.10-$.20/gallon higher.  That offset the hassle of hauling it in, for me.

Hauling more than 55 gals of fuel in CA requires a special permit

    The fines are very high  ($2500ish) if you're caught

I usually find that Sears Point's price for 91 octane is better than most in the bay area.  I generally top off my street car whenever I'm at the track.

Now Thunderhill, on the other hand...
