Topic: paint and pad the cage? or leave bare for inspection?

Should we paint and pad our cage?  or leave it bare for safety tech inspection?   Thanks

Re: paint and pad the cage? or leave bare for inspection?

you need it padded to pass tech.  I would also suggest painting the cage since they rust pretty quickly.

okay thanks... I understood the padding requirement...  but didn't know if I was going to waste a lot of time installing it if those parts would need uncovered again during the inspection

I was told to paint it when we were at our first tech, so I guess the sooner, the better.
