Topic: Brake line help

I need a brake line-- flexible line rubber hose-- that's M10x1.0 x 1.0 male on the caliper side and 3/8x24 female on the hard line side. It needs to be about 15" overall length.

I'm simply trying to find one locally but nobody seems to have a book of brake lines organized by fittings, length, or both.

I can even change the flare on the hard line side to whatever-- i just need the m10x1 male and 15" length at this point.

Man, talk about frustrating!

Oh, and while brakes are exempt from the $500 ya gotta have it to spend it. $50 for a custom line I ain't gonna do.

Re: Brake line help

Ok, so I'm impatient. But if I don't get the brakes tested I won't know whether or not I should rush to cage this thing and get it to the track. I know it runs for 20 seconds with some starting fluid. Transmission, steering and suspension is anybody's guess.

In the end, I found this stuff locally. Seemed like a fair investment-- I can reuse the lines and just change the fittings on the end for when I'm bored with the car and ready to move on to the next.

Re: Brake line help

You're gonna have to change the flare on the hard line side or use an adapter.

VW bug rear lines should be M10x1.0 male on one end, female on the other.  Check dune buggy suppliers for extended length.  And they are bubble flare, (to keep in mind when you reflare that hard line
