Topic: A sad day on 680 (death of a judgemobile)

So on Thursday 4-7-11, the 27 model T Dave built died... I (Fish) was driving to work and had an inattentive commuter bump me on the right side. Not good on an open wheel car... From there it was a series of spinning and 2 hits (one head-on). The car is not repairable, but luckily, I am.  A few broken bones, a broken nose, and a few bruises...

Cars can be replaced, drivers can't.  Definitely a shame about the car, but better that it be totaled out than if you were.

Very glad to hear you are on the mend.  Too bad about the car, but to echo everyone else, cars can be replaced.  Hope you get better soon.

All of us here at Stick Figure are glad to hear that you will (after much soreness etc.) be ok. Total bummer about the car, but as everyone's said, cars are replaceable. Good luck with the healing process.

I'm so sorry to hear about the accident, but relieved to hear that you seem to have come out of it without too much injury.  It is a sad day.

Get well soon, Fish.  I know we'll see you back out at the track with another monster creation before long.

Re: A sad day on 680 (death of a judgemobile)

Damn. Heal quick Fish.
680 is not the happiest freeway in the Bay Area. Helicopters ~might~ be safer.

- Maybe you can revive what's not going to be left of the car for a 2nd Model-T race car?

to the other posters - I'm believing this was his 'daily' car (Another cool T'rod) - fish, this so?

Re: A sad day on 680 (death of a judgemobile)

It was my daily car, the Cad roadster. I would have faired much better in the T GT. The lack of a proper seat, or real body, etc, etc, probably contributed to my injuries. I guess that's the price I pay for living in the past.
It was one of those things, the guy that spun me just didn't look, and didn't even know he hit me. Open wheel car...

Sorry to hear you got hurt.  Get well soon, friend.  Sad about the car, too, but mostly worried that you were injured in the process.
