Which configuration that will be used has not be decided as of yet, or so I have been told. The whole track with ONE front straight chicane would not only be what the drivers want it would be SAFER. First, there would be more spacing between the cars, second, there would be safe passing zones and the track has plenty of run-off area's.
Another important point is the whole track can handle more cars which results in more $$$ for the promoters. the entire track could handle SAFELY 90 cars x $1,000 per team generates a LOT of revenue. The whole track= more $ AND safer event.
To me, the whole track with a front straight chicane is a no brainer....
