Topic: Where is everyone getting quick-release brackets for the extinguisher?

I can't find them cheaply anywhere.  Also, is the regular old 3 lb Kidde type ABC extinguisher from Home Depot ok? it's only $16.

Costco sells a 5lb extinguisher with metal quick-release bracket.  That's what we used.

I had a bunch of extinguishers, but they all had plastic brackets.  On the way to NL, I stopped at the Grainger in Perrysburg, OH--they had all kinds of extinguishers w/ metal quick-release brackets.  Any Grainger should carry the same or similar.

Enjoy every sandwich.

Got our bracket at a marine supply store.

Ditto, the coast guard requires them on boats - and there is a boat store every 5 square miles in Houston.

Ace Hardware usually carries 1.

Grainger is good but proud of their extinguishers.

I got a Kiddie 5lb ABC unit at Menards, and right next to them on the shelf for like $6 was the Metal wrap-around quick release bracket. I just needed some mounting hardware and i was good to go. Keep in mind you need to mount it somewhere the driver can reach easily while still being fully belted in. I believe the Tranny/exhaust tunnel is the popular location.

Just picked up the Costco ext. - $35.11 with tax.
