Topic: Looking For Unique / Funny Car In San Diego Area For Video Shoot

We are having a video shoot in the San Diego area on July 24th (Wednesday).  We are looking for a very unique looking car
for a sizzle reel that we are shooting.  "Unique" in the sense of ridiculous! smile

If you have interest in participating in this shoot (both yourself and your car), please respond here.  We are
looking for a funny/unique car as well as a passionate/unique owner.

I hope this post doesn't cause any trouble.  I just have many friends that race the 24 Hours of Lemons and knew
this would be a terrific source.

Thank you.

Well, the obvious choice is The Homer

I can offer the CorVegge

or

The ToyoHog

But I won't be back into town until the morning of the 23rd because I'm heading to the race in Washington.

The Sex Pistons Spitfire is pretty unique.

We've had at least a dozen TV-production crews shoot sizzle reels at Lemons races. So far, they have all disappeared without a trace. I hope this one will be different.

That's cause they secretly work for the government on a project called BLINDS. Its being run by the Republican party to track the efforts and movements of a small subversive group of home based auto mechanics who are injuring the US Auto industries efforts to build more cars, and thus affecting the cash flow into the pockets of the richest of the rich. By buying up cars that should have been junked and making them into race cars, and pieces of art, this subversive group is causing a resurgence in racing, and increase in hand labor and creativity, a decrease in new car purchases, the buying of cheap chinese tools that break and require the purchase of more cheap tools, and thus funneling US$ into the pockets of a few left leaning former so called "writers".

I still laugh at the look of horror on the Japanese film-crews faces when you slammed me onto the ZomBee's hood "COPS" style.

A high point in my life.

Those guys were already totally terrified of all of us (every time I tried to point them in the direction of, say, a cool Japanese car that would probably go over big back home, they backed away in horror), so I figured I'd shake them all up. Too bad you didn't produce a sawed-off pistol-grip pump shotgun and wave it around-- I'm sure they expected that.

Did anybody ever find that show online? I assume it has lots of crazy tilted camera angles and manic in-out-in-out zooming, something like this.

Re: Looking For Unique / Funny Car In San Diego Area For Video Shoot

I am located in Dallas, but have a producer that's contacting me needing a very unique (as in ridiculous looking) car.
He was hoping to have several options to look at.  Obviously, it's difficult for me to find these things, when I'm not in SoCal.

Spank.....I sent him the URL you posted for me.  Thank you very much.  He's hoping for a few more as well.

I believe you have an email listed on that site you sent me, so he will contact you at that address if you are needed for
the video shoot.
