Looking back, I can't think of anything worth griping about.
We got there early Thursday evening.
Had a surprise visit by the Judges. Pre-race sweat and interrogation.
Enjoyed our Friday test day.
Breezed through tech.
Mildly amused the Judges in BS at 4:30.
Drove the entire race with minor flaws and just one black flag on Sunday afternoon.
Blogged as much as possible.

Captured many hours of video and stills.
Everywhere we looked was something that made us laugh or stare with jaws open.
Thanks to everyone for Lemonizing us!!

May I suggest a Dirty Dancing theme?
Me too!
Can't wait for the next one
right now I'm trying to figure out if I can afford a season of kart racing and Lemons . . . anyone have a big pile of money they want to give me? haha

That's right -- we could spell this cheater from our (quite luxurious) hotel room, so we tracked him down parked outside the gate on Thursday night.
CHEATER!

Trekkor. Take a look at the 1 minute mark. Took a bite out of your backside going into 5 late on Sunday. Apologies. Got hungry. Fortunately, neither of us lost control. All is well that ends well.
Johnny, a friend of mine was tired of looking at her Diablo, so she gave it to me. It already has a cage. I can still spend $500 on it cuz it was free, right?

A Diablo?
Sure -- spend $10,000. A Diablo wouldn't make it 30 laps before catastrophic failure resulted in calls to the Italian embassy.
And the brakes will be cooked through in 20 laps.
A Diablo...
Mmm Diablo sandwich and a Dr. Pepper.
$10k? Sweet! We can almost give it a full tuneup!

Those have been known to cause heartburn

I'll post a pic of the scratch later.
My driver wasn't sure if he got hit. This was when we only had 4th gear.
Awesome!!

Goddamn Germans, etc.
Is it just me or are there other teams still totally hyped about what we just did all weekend?!?
I've said it before, but it's worth repeating: This was THE best track experience I have ever had and I do 20ish events a year.

Awesome weekend!
Huge thanks to the THill corner workers and flaggers. Local yellows were greatly appreciated and they were on top of everything, even waving the blue flag with the white stripe when need be...
As always, the organizers, tech and judges performed at the highest levels. You guys are badass.
And, of course, the racers and teams that show up and give it everything they've got. I think that this was the best race so far! Thanks to all the teams that lent us stuff over the weekend (Metro Gnomes, Angry Hampster, Ponticrap, etc.) A special thanks to Ryan from Blanco Basura who, after blowing a head gasket early in the race (Honda), stayed and took charge of our pit making sure that we had extra hands to get in and get out quickly. Nicest guy in the world.

I couldn't agree with you more.....3 of the 4 drivers (inlcuding me) were 100% Lemons rookies...never even been to an event before...jumped in feet 1st at Thunderhill and you know what.........Lemons ROCKS...we will be back for every somewhat close to CA race in 2010.....my 2 seasoned racers both said it was the most fun they had racing in YEARS.....and these guys have a combined racing experience of over 30 years.....
My 1st real wheel to wheel racing experience....and it was a TOTAL RUSH....now if I ever race a "packed" spec miata field with 60 cars..it will seem like NOTHING...
I'm hooked....and so is the team
Glad I'm not all alone here!!

I totally wanted to come over and visit, but got tied up trying to work out our communication failures! I did manage to give you a "fist pump" in the middle of the night on my motorcycle on 505. Gaawd it was cold

Yup, I remember that. I was at the wheel. Without any gears other than 4th I was trying to leave LOTS of space between myself and any other miscreants that might decide to stop and enjoy the view at the top of 5.
Apologies back atcha!
