Prepare for questions about figure 4. That diagram conflicts with information posted here by people who have contacted Evil Genius John about the issue.
Brilliant. Love the layout and illustrations. Nice work!

your unfounded and ultimately doomed optimism is charming.

Questions arose during our tech inspection whether the anti-bow bar was required or not (our cage did not have one). Please advise or update rules and figures to reflect rule change (even if unwritten).
Our car doesn't have an anti-bow bar and has passed tech 5 times in the past year. This included Jay scrutinizing it himself. The rules say it's not mandatory but is recommended.
The PDF updated for 2014:

Keep in mind that if your B-pillars come down on a part of the floor that is in any way questionable due to rust (or janky body repairs, in our case), Jay will probably ask you to add a gusset between the post and the rocker using 1/8" steel or similar.

ant i bow bars aren't required but if you are building the cage I 'd suggest you take your scrap piece and put it in.. it is a great place to mount a go pro.
Dumb question because I dint see any in the PDF but is it ok for the door bars to not be connected to each other? I plan on gusseting everything and using the dash and anti bow bar in my cage build in hopes of passing with flying colors every time the car rolls through tech. I even plan on gusseting the b pillar down tubes to the door pan.

Ours are not and we always pass tech.
I keep reading posts stating that a cage passed tech at one event only to be failed at the next is why I ask. I hope to build a cage that the judges can recognize and appreciate every time it rolls through tech. Maybe thats just wishful thinking.
Our driver's side door bars don't touch each other. But we do have vertical braces.
Our passenger door bars are an X pattern with an added sill bar.
Never a second glance during tech inspection. (2 races so far - Road America last year and Autobahn this year.)
