Topic: 12v lights

So on the pimpalicious caddy-lac we decided to outfit a ton of neon lights.  What is the best way to power them?  12v dry cell in the trunk with a switch in series?

Are you planning on charging it in the car or will this be totally disconnected from the car/charging system? Personally I would put a switch like a perko(sp) on a boat so that you can let the car charge the battery under yellow (or whenever) and have it disconnected when not in use or  when you want to release any strain the alternator would put on the engine. This way you can keep the battery charged but only strain the car at your discretion. Is that what you were asking?
