Topic: B.F.E. GP camping

We're planning on sleeping inside our fancy-schmancy car trailer.. do we need a camping permit?  Or are the permits for a separate spot (besides the pit/paddock area?)

If it ain't broken, fix it 'til it is.

Re: B.F.E. GP camping

No sure, call HPR, but I don't think you need a permit.
I've been out there quite a few times and I know they have electrical hook ups now.

I've done a handful of Lemons race but had to travel to all of them since I live in Denver.
I'm pretty excited we finally got one close, I don't have to drive 2 days to get there.

What car are you racing?
Do you have it done yet?

Re: B.F.E. GP camping

We're building a Rambler Marlin... you?  There's two more builds going on in Denver that I know of as well.  We should get together and swap lies.

Our car is far from done but coming along well.  Hopefully it'll be done by May so we can drive it at least once before the race, and maybe sort out whatever issues we find.

We're excited as well.  First time for my team, but a good friend of mine has done a Lemons race so between him and these forums we're getting some solid advice.

Re: B.F.E. GP camping

Bob,

Our car is a 90 CRX. We've blown many a CV joint on it.

Yes, I would recommend getting as much track/driving testing on the car as possible.
You'd be surprised at what doesn't hold up for very long on a car.

Keep me updated and let me know if you plan a get together.
