787B was a great car and still is. The down side of the win at Le Mans was that the 4 rotor engine got out lawed and only the 3 rotor could compete. So with that one win it was like the support got pulled out from under all the other Mazda teams and not much later IMSA folded. I spent many hot days and not so hot days standing in the pits at the Savanah GA race track watching Pete Halsmer and Price Cobb test the last of the IMSA GTO RX7's never thinking that series would end..
