Topic: Radiator Flushing?

Some of us are prepping for CMP, and I wanted to know if there was any provision or setup there to help us northerners get the radiators flushed. We just finished getting some tow hooks added and it was friggen 8F. no way am I putting water in under these conditions, so our only choice is to get it done down at the track.

Re: Radiator Flushing?

Just flush it and the day before and put a drop light or two under the hood.  $20 space heaters work well too.  See you there!

Re: Radiator Flushing?

I'm thinking about going through tech with no water, then fill it up Saturday morning.  Probably drain it again Sat.  night.  We'll be in an enclosed trailer, so as long as it doesn't get down to 20ish, we should be ok.

Re: Radiator Flushing?

Bob-e, You need to have the car running @ tech for a while for the kill switch test.

We are the people your parents warned you about.

Re: Radiator Flushing?

yeah I know.  It'll live that long with no water

Re: Radiator Flushing?

Serj, Just drain it all out at home and bring it down empty. Then before tech fill er back up with water. You can drain and fill water all weekend long, just drain the water on the ground.
