Hey guys we noticed that many of the e30's are running 245 50 16 tires. I am curious what offset, and width your rims are? if you have any other rim tire combos that work well for you let me know. Ever since we stuffed the 302 in that car we are rolling side walls, the bottle caps aren't cutting it!

We run 195/55/15's on 15x7" wheels. ET25 is fine. You could probably go up to ET10.
245 is a pretty large tire.....what does your E30-V8 weigh? The 928 estate has a racing weight of nearly about 3150 lbs (driver + full tank) and we use 225/50-16 Dunlops with no issues......30 cold...36psi hot...no issue with sidewalls rolling over on 16x7 rims, great grip and good tire life are just a bonus!!
I have never been able to get anything larger than a 205 up front and these tires lightly rubber the inner frame when turning sharp. I guess you could use spacers to move them out.
You also will need to add Camber, the cheap way to do this is to slot the top of the strut towers. I am guessing you have had to change out the front springs, if your using the 2.5 generic springs you will have the clearance needed to slide the strut mount at the top.
i can't imagine how a 245 won't rub on the fronts. we run a 205/50/15 Azeni with much success.
we ran a 225/ xx/15 Dunlop once and they sucked in the turns. had to fight the steering wheel. the car handles better with the tires under it rather than outside the wheel wells.
