Topic: 2004 Honda Accord V6 - Free if you turn it into a race car!
180k miles on an almost 20 year old car and the transmission is going. If you can replace a torque converter clutch this thing should run for another 180k. Unfortunately I'm not willing to put the money into paying someone to fix it and I also don't have the space or equipment to do it myself. Sad, I know. But I'm cool with the 20 years this car gave me and I'm ready to say goodbye. Scrapper offered $250. But I don't need the money, I got a lot of use out of this car, saved me way more than that in car payments! So my loss could be your gain! I'd love to see this thing on a track with whatever wacky theme you have in mind. That would be worth more than $250 and/or the hassle of trying to sell this thing to some shade tree mechanic on Facebook marketplace or whatever.
If you want this car all you have to do is bring a trailer to pick it up. It's in Marietta GA, pretty close to I-75 but it's between two exits. We're talking 2 miles from the highway at best. It does run and it does drive but I wouldn't recommend anything more than five or six miles. What happens is the transmission fluid heats up and loses viscosity which causes the clutch to slip more than when it's cool. You could theoretically stop every five miles and let it cool off again but that's a dumb plan if you're not local. Trailer or a tow hitch should be your plan.
We took pretty good care of it. Pretty decent tires. Brand new front brake pads and resurfaced rotors. Leather interior, you could probably sell most of what you take out to race it. It was in an accident early on, rear right corner/axle, but the insurance company paid to fix all of that and it got another 150k miles after.
Alternately, if you want to fix it and sell it for racing funds that's cool as well. I'd only ask that you donate some reasonable portion to something like Alex's Lemonade Stand or whatever the Lemons charity du jour might be.
No strings. Title in hand.
