This is too nice for Lemons, but it won't sell locally because it revs up. It's a unicorn '05 Ford Focus with a five-speed manual transmission. My daughter drove it daily for four years.
The stupid thing revs when you push the clutch in. It has a new intake gasket, new IAC, new EGR, new PCV hose and valve, new metal throttle body. It still revs up and I can't find the cause. I'm pretty sure it's a harness issue. The only DTC is for "higher than expected idle". If you play with the throttle it just revs higher until it sounds like it's trying to blow itself up.
It has a new clutch.
Put a cage in it and race it. The judges won't care that it cost $1600 because it's a 2-liter Focus. I'm not on the forum often, so email me at erikstrawn at yahoo.
