First off, thanks for the kind words! we are getting better at the race car prep game on our second time through. Our first car was a 1984 Renault Alliance that blew up in spectacular fashion at last fall's ArseFreeze. It had a Renault F1 theme. This car is the Orwell 1984 theme. I think all of our cars will be from the year 1984.
House paint=white
red stripes=duct tape
graphics=i am a graphic designer, all i had to do was press "P"
the black red and white theme turned out pretty cool it looks like a real race car now!
when we first got it we were questioning our sanity, it barely ran, was leaking or missing every fluid, and was on the verge of overheating at every stoplight. the rear brakes would lock up, the shocks were so blown that we had to replace them with junkyard-fresh stuff that was actually not leaking fluid.
I can not wait to get her on the track, it will be a blast.
Nice car, make sure you post an "after Sears Pointless" picture

Thanks, any advice on SearsPoint? We are new to it, so we are thinking of taking some laps on Friday if we are not too tired from the drive down (from Portland OR).
We're probably going to do a 'track walk' Friday evening.
You welcome to come along.

There are others on here with mucho experience at Infineon, but the best advice I can give ya is do the test day Friday. When you're out there follow others around to get familiarized with the right line and the track in general also take the class Friday night, it is conducted by experienced Lemons participants. Worth the $20 for admittance.
I hope that Lemons does a race at Portland International, or Oregon Raceway Park sometime in the future. I know PIR like the back of my hand! I will take ifb_mole's advice and have a couple of the guys attend the class.
I am a better "learn by doing" kinda guy, so the lapping sessions will unveil many things in regards to the car and track that i can relate to the team!
We are loading up and taking off from SD!! www.twitter.com/fishd00d for live updates all weekend!!
Pujo! is all painted and stickered up with it's new theme (those who follow our blog at teamlemon.blogspot.com can get a sneak preview) and is on it's way to California. Here's hoping she can make it there right-side up!
Well our car doesn't actually roll at the moment, but I'm confident we'll have a race car by tomorrow morning!
we are getting our collective sh+t together, and hope to be on the road by 4, so in Novato by 2 am if we are lucky.
Pendejo Engineering is on our way with the Jaguar XJS V-12. Unfortunately the Great Pendejo himself can't make it do to some last minute work issues. He will be missed!
I'll still at home.
Having some coffee, bumping the forums,
I'll pop in after 9:00.
No hurry.
