Our # 7 Jaguar XJ6 was running at the end.  We had fuel line/carb problems most the weekend.  Car would go like shi* down the straight but starve for gas on left hand turns.  Turned out to be blockage in the original metal fuel line. (fixing that).  Five laps from the finish, I wanted to send our oldest team driver (72) out to take the checkered.  They sent him back to the pits at the final checkpoint before entering the track because of an oil leak.  Seems a 40-year old rack & pinion steering seal blew.  No way to fix it in time.  Bummer because this was our first time out with the car and we were so close to the end.
We'll be back!  You can follow our car at www.Dr-No007.com.
