When would this happen?

We won the IOE at Southern Discomfort.
We got screwed at The Real Hoopties of New Jersey  and we took cars down with us.
We got the curse at Capitol Offense but they wouldn't let us destroy the car.

Post Wartburg, proably a 2011 entry.

Of course Im also thinking that drivetrain would make a very interesting Wartburg v2

would the engine be dragging the wartburg?

i think that may be a tad bigger than the overall length of the wartburg.

Pendejo - There is no such thing as a racing budget and if you can't afford to set it on fire and watch it burn while drinking a beer then don't race it.

Re: Help my team see the light.

I see a BFW, sidepipes, and a trunk mounted radiator - C6R style.

Acually the Caddy 500 with Eldo transaxle is surprisingly compact.  Ive seen them wedged in VW Bugs, Yugos and Ford Festivas.

Then engine would be in the rear seat of course....but we dont have a rear seat anymore anyway.  Just not sure what I'd have to do to adapt to the rear suspension, but I guess a good look at a converted VW would tell me.

Because - cubic inches!

Re: Help my team see the light.

If your teammates need convincing, you need new teammates!

The real question is: front-engine/front-drive or mid-engine/rear-drive? Sounds like you're going with the latter, but imagine the awesomeness of 97/3 weight distribution and front-wheel burnouts!

I keep looking at how little of a rear there is to the MG and question the fitment.  Then again the front will be wide open so we could just move the dash and seats forward smile

My teammates know Im completely burnt out after the Wartburg build and although I still have crazy ideas I may be a little short on follow through for th next year.

This has now led me to an even worse idea which has my team deciding how to have me forcibly comitted at this time no doubt.

If your gonna go ahead and get yourself commited then I would make sure and take an insane amount of time getting it to the perfect 97/3 balance. smile

Alright damnit...I'm ready for summit point...even if the car isnt ready.
