All I could think through this was no way in hell am I gonna lose it and have to wear the speedo like my other 2 team mates who got black flagged earlier!! End result never went off track and never spun = just thumbs up from corner workers! Just remember the gas is your friend lol

Reminds me of giving the s10 a little, no, a lot too much gas getting on the freeway in the rain. Similar number of oscillations and outcome. My wife was behind me following and couldn't believe I kept it on the road.
Made the same mistake years later in a Roadmaster wagon. The extra weight and soft steering meant after two yaws I was staring at a wall and I decided to stop instead of recover. Since there was no traffic that was the safest bet. Ended up backwards but in one piece.

Who me? ! The only time I motioned or gestured to the corner workers was to acknowledge that I saw a yellow and I assure you ALL fingers were raised.
(edit--Oh wait-a-minute: Maybe they were mistaking my perpetual point-bys (mostly on Sunday) as a naughty gesture.)
