Topic: My photos from Goin' For Broken '10 now online

http://www.murileemartin.com/LGFB10/Thunderhill_May2010-0007.jpg

I finally got around to exploring Irfanview's HTML-generating abilities, which means Thunderhill racers can now check out my 1,300 or so photos from the race on MurileeMartin.com. I've got photos from the track, from the BS Inspection, and from the various heroic and not-so-heroic fix adventures during the weekend; unless you're on the Hatfield & McCoy 300ZX team, you'll find photos of your team there.

That's right, no more fighting those damn Jalopnik galleries to see my Lemons photos (the Gawker/Jalopnik editor is made for small quantities of images, not Über Gallery numbers). Thanks, Irfanview!

Right click, save as.  Right click, save as.  Right click, save as.

Repeat as needed.  Some great shots in there!  Lovin' the bumper cam.

TST, fool.

It's a Bunny.  With a pancake.  On its head.  Really, is it that tough?

Re: My photos from Goin' For Broken '10 now online

Those photos are just 1280 pixels wide- more about online viewing than printing. If you want the original, full-res shots of your team's car, email me and I'll get 'em to you.

Thanks for the pictures. Fun to see the pictures of the Hamster engine in pieces all over the ground. Accurately captures what we were up to most of the weekend.

It wasn't fun and finding head gaskets for the car on a Saturday afternoon was not easy either. But it ended up being worth it since the car ran great Sunday.

I was honestly ready to throw in the towel when the gaskets blew on Saturday but our driver/crew chief/builder "Pendejo" said "No, we can do this". So we spent from 1pm to midnight solid getting the car fixed. But what would Lemons be without heroic fixes?

We need the 928 back for some more heroic fixing! That thing has to be just as bad or worse to change head gaskets on!

Our original motor was a V65 Magna but the ones in the pictures are V65 Sabres. Basically the same just a little more powerfull.

I'd say WORSE....its supposed to be "possible" with the engine in....but not really...we would have to pull the engine....which is about a 3 hour job if things go well (ask me how I know).....the reality of changing the gaskets with all those damm little allen screws that ALWAYS strip would be quite time consuming too...  So is it possible in a 1pm to midnight heroic fix....I'd have to say yes IF we could find both gaskets within say 200 miles
