Topic: Anybody new a good gm tech in northern virginia?

I have an electrical problem I am trying to solve.  Anyone know a master gm tech in northern virginia I can call?  Please PM.  Like urgently.

Whats going on? Im not a GM master tech, but I am MECP certified meaning I can play with anything 12V

Was installing kill switch in 94 caddy and now the car won't start.  The starter will now crank, but the dash doesn't work, and the car won't start.  It feels like half the electronics are out.  It is a northstar system.

Okay, so how did you install the kill switch?

On battery and ignition?

Or did you do battery and alternator?

Because if you did the latter, you may have seriously blown some shit up.

I think it was positive lead on battery and electronic block running to alternator.  It was a four post kill switch.  I am however not positive and trying to find out from the dumbass that did it.

Gotta start with the easy questions

Did you check the fuses?
Do you have a loose/non existent factory connection?
Did you turn the switch back to the on position?

Checked all of the fuses, non were blown.  The kill switch was put in-line, however we also removed the switch and just butt connected the cut cables so there is no more kill switch.

Have him run through the steps they he took. He may have tripped a fault code in the electronics. Make him run it through and put a dunce cap on his head and make him think about it til he figures out what he fucked up.

Or remove the kill switch from the equasion first to see if the car still starts.  If it does you wired the kill switch wrong.

Make sure all of your grounds are hooked up and that the main harness that comes from under the hood to the dash is connected.
