Topic: Capitol Offense event newcommers wih a few questions

We are running a neon and we have put autopower cage from one of our teammates old SSC/ITA car everything seems like it will check out fine but I dont like surprises. Has anyone ever run an SCCA/NASA approved cage? Does it work for the purposes of this event?

The car and 3/4 of the drivers will be there Friday for tech and practice our 4th will be at the track before race start will that be acceptable or do all drivers have to be present for tech?

Re: Capitol Offense event newcommers wih a few questions

You will need two door bars which that cage might not have.  Otherwise, you need to make sure that your seat and the cage are compatable.  The shoulder harnesses must be between zero and 15 degrees down from horizontal between the seat holes and the crossbar of the cage.  The seat must also be within 6" of the crossbar with all drivers.  If not, there must be a seat brace.  Search for cage pics and you will see all of these items.

Post pics of the cage and the board members will let you know how it looks.
