This is how the car looked as we walked up to it. I hope we can make something out of it. I swear those are not pot plants growing by the rear, if they were we would have taken them and sold them to offset costs.

I've seen far worse starting points on this forum. from this angle I see less rust than ours had, of course the weeds could be hiding them.
Wheel wells are a little rusty in the rear. Once I got it home and in the air I was happy about how the underside looked, except the drivers frame rail is rotted pretty bad in about a 6 inch section. I figure on just boxing that area in. It still does not run, it supposedly ran when parked so who knows. Right now I am just eliminating the easy things, fuses, fuel pump, coil etc.

Did you guys run one these Capris in a Lemons before?
No I meant your looks less rusty than the car we are prepping for Chicago which is an Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. I felt ours wasn't bad for a 20+ year old car from Chicago though, and the rust has ended up mostly being surface runt on the body, well that and most of the exhaust system rusted away.
Our exhaust was rotted off as well, in fact it broke off at the muffler as we pulled the car out. Otherwise it is in pretty good shape. Apparently it has sat in that same spot for about 5 years, so I am sure there will be tons of little things that pop up. The brake lines are rotted, so those need to be fixed. First challenge is to get it run, it turns over fine and the oil looks pretty clean as does the coolant.
