Topic: Last minute safety gear

Ok, so my team is going to be sharing a total of three suits right now. I just came into a bunch of single layer suits, but we have no long johns to wear under them. Are there any brick and mortar stores near MSR that might carry that sort of item? Its not critical that we get some, but man would it be nice! Thanks for any help!

Don't want to bust ya effort .... but it IS critical that you get some.  Single layer suits require LJ's to be worn.  Or do you mean the multi-layer A5 suits to be the single layer of clothing you need?

A1 or A3 suits require LJ's
A5 and higher do not.

There may be a make-shift shop charging a kidney for them at MSR.

Yee-Haw 2010 "Most Heroic Fix" & "I Got Screwed" -2 trophies for 1 lap, but I took checkered on my lap.
Gator-O-Rama 2012 "Organizers Choice" -2 laps 1 trophy, but i still finished ahead of an E30
Yee-Haw 2013 No trophy -26 laps, I think I see a pattern here

Vick Racing should be selling safety gear at the track.

Granted, I figure by the time you buy the underwear + the single layer suit, you are in the multilayer ball park.  Aside from that, what's your skin worth?

Smiley's is located on the North side of town and they have a large selection of safety gear.

There is another race shop near Hobby Airport.  I don;t recall the name or how much safety gear they carry.

Make sure if you buy at smileys that your get SFI current certs and that your helmets are NOT 'M' rated.
