Re: Our new addition

I visited FIAT's research center this week. All I can say is that more weird is coming your way.

Make it a LUCAS race car. Have wires coming out of everywhere and a mannequin mechanic hanging out of the trunk with a screwdriver attempting to make sense of the tail light.

I have a Jaguar V12 engine and transmission for your entertainment . Since there have been a couple of Miata's with V12's in them  a large MGB would be simple..
(since shipping would likely exceed the $500 limit check your local neighborhood)..  insanity, goats, etc etc..

Any way we could get that thar V12 to California? Maybe a Ludicrous Motor Relay Rally?

Ok, retreival mission accomplished.  Engine donor is now awaiting dissection.   Non drivetrain parts available if interested.

Lots of suspension upgrades if someone out there is running a fox body and wants to talk parts.

Yeah, we're basically dissasembling the whole car down to a shell.  All drivetrain parts are staying till we know what we need.  Body panels are up for sale, as is the shell if someone wants it.  Front suspension will probably go on the block too.  Interior is pretty nice, might use the seats in the Wartburg, or might just sell it all.

Also got a spare trunklid and front fenders which get sold to reduce the cost and a full energy suspension poly set that never got installed that is up for grabs.

This one was just a steal, we didnt know it was and SSP till after we bought it, its been modified so much I guess it doesnt matter too much anymore but some of the bits are still good for our use.

Re: Our new addition

Are you sure you don't want to trade for a turbo 2.3/5 speed setup?

I'm definitely interested in the camber plates.  How much???

Any idea on the springs (rates)?

I'll run it past the rest of the crew, we're a democracy.

Got one other person who chimed in on the camber plates but we'll see how that goes, we wont start parting till late october early november and I dont think he can wait.

Based on the receipts the springs are probably still stock, so whatever is stock for the Police Pursuit package, havent been able to round up exact details.

I don't know man, that thing looks pretty low. These cars looked like they were set up for off-roading stock. My Fox Coupe is only a littler lower with aftermarket springs.

My understanding is the police package uses different suspension components so that may account for it.

It has had work done, subframe connectors, camber plates, different struts, all pretty well documented, we have a 2 inch thick binder with every receipt on the car, but no mention of changing springs, not saying it didnt happen, just that we dont have any paperwork on it if it did.

Once we tear it apar I'll see if there's any markings on the springs for those with an interest.
