Topic: Along the lines of "What was I thinking" we have aquired another car..

There was a BMW E36 318ti abandoned at the local BMW dealer in late 2004, I just got the call to come get it.  I worked there and remember pulling it out of the shop with a slipping trans way back, but it has since been stripped of anything of even remote usability.  They even stole the front calipers.  But, it is a complete, unloved, ugly body shell begging to have something dropped in it for power.

Flathead Ford, or if it must be a six, 225 slant six (cast iron only) or 300 c.i. unit out of an F-150. Nothing else will do.

Jeep 4.0L Slant 6...that would keep it true to the slanted inline 6 heritage (even if not in this particular car)

A Z3 front suspension, struts and main subframe will bolt right in. So you can use a 6 cyl from and BMW from 1990 on.

The old E30 LSD will fit in the back with E30 inner CVs. Since the rear axel is from a E30.

Buick straight 8 from a late 1930's super 8...  I had one for a little while.   Ultra smooth and quite reliable.

Fail.  Jeep 4.0s are straight up and down, vertical, 6 cylinders.  I am the proud owner of one of these beasts.
