Topic: Harness - No "Y" types allowed

"All belt mounting points must be separate--single-mount "Y" belts not allowed."

Is this considered Y-type, and not allowed:

Pony up for cam lock belts while you're at it. Latch-links suck.

Why is it that offroad groups won't allow camlock and only allow latchlinks? I personally like the camlock, but the belt in the mini (supplied by the Racine's who raced it at Sears) is latch link and it is a bear to get in, but great for getting out.

I have noticed on 1 occasion that I may have accidentally opened the camlock on another car because of accidental movement of the lever-- is this why offroaders don't like it? Or is it grit/dirt contamination?
