I can't make out the car in the photograph. Anyone have any idea what team this is?
Looks like a Triumph TR7 to me.
And Googling reveals I'm correct. The Black Knight:
Yes, that is an IOE winner. Actually, the same team won the IOE with the VW Type 3 in the last Texas race.
I don't know much about publishing, but does money need to change hands over the title?
"Follow a crew of wanna-be-racecar-drivers on what seems like a futile and meaningless journey - only to learn a couple of very important lessons."
I wonder if these lessons were taught by that demon-spawn Lucas?
Guys - I am sitting in the clubhouse at Harris Hill Road Racetrack in San Marcos, and a guy sits down next to me holding a copy of the book. He let me flip through the pages and what I read is absolutely great. I want to buy a copy for everyone on my team.
I was told the author was here at the track, if I can locate him I'll tell him to post here. But from what I read, this book is a great read & worth the money.
ya, that team captain works for Harris Hill IIRC. His Grandma or Great Aunt or something or other lives at the Assisted Living where I work.
I was telling my story of Yee-Haw the other month, and daughter of one of my old ladies said "that sounds like the race my boy was doing. he had some old Volkswagen"
I'll get one, supporting the cause.
And not to go off topic, but it seems Jay has a book out too.

Hey, there's my Beretta! And it's on the cover! Hmm, that stereotype doesn't quite work here in the midwest, though. Potential theme, maybe? Nah, I don't think so.
