Topic: Some very useful (IMO) information - engine weights

Many may already have this bookmarked, but it's new to me:

Found this link on the Turbo Bird website.

It lists various engines and weights.  Supposedly, a 5.0 V8 weighs the same as my 2.3 turbo 4 (450 lbs)

Enjoy!

THREAD HIJACK:

Which turbo bird website?

I just bought a $300 turbo bird today.  Not sure what I'm gonna do with it, but it runs and drives and is tagged and inspected...

ALLEGEDLY!

I think the Ricky Bobby t bird's going to be in their calendar this year too:)

They have a great FAQ section.  I've printed about every page of it to take to the races.

Does your car have the TEVES ABS system?  (it uses an electric pump and reservior  on the MC).  We disabled the abs, but kept the funky MC setup.  We've had good luck w/ it so far, but there's no such thing as a drop in replacement.

BTW, I love our turbo coupe for Lemons.  We're still getting some kinks worked out, but we're close.

I'm not sure how they weigh things.. however their weight for the Jaguar V12 nd 4.2 litre 6 must not include a bunch of things.. it's more than 70 pounds light..
